The iTechStyle Summit - 2nd International Conference of Textile and Clothing was held at the Port of Leixões Cruise Terminal in Porto, Portugal on 28 February to 2 March 2018.
The iTechStyle Summit brings together industry innovators, technology providers, researchers, clusters and other actors from the textile and clothing sector from across Europe; aiming to provide a platform to globalize the research by installing a dialogue between industries and academic organizations.
Manuel Heitor, the Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education was present at iTechStyle Summit and highlighted the importance of bridging Industry and Academia together for enhanced growth in the area of smart textiles (image 1).
This year 1D-NEON was represented by partner CeNTI which presented an overview of 1D-NEON project (images 2 to 5) and by partner Bioage which presented several prototypes of electronics on fabric (images 5 to 9).
